3A Hot Meal

Please help mobilize other churches to join :

Let the poor experience Jesus' love through giving them hot meal!

Ideas and Origin

In 2016, the number of poor people in Hong Kong reached 970,000, of which 340,000 were elderly. Many of these elderly are living alone. Under the long-term lack of care, they are often sick and lonely. No one knows about their critical situation. They often pick up leftover pods for food, eating fermented bean curd, and porridge. Among the poor elderly we are in contact with, some even add water to the lunch boxes we provide for them and eat them for several meals. The situation is serious.

Meaning behind a Lunch Box

In response to the needs of the community, we have, through the delivery of hot meals over the years, reached out and care for the poor. A hot meal may be insignificant in our view, but for these grassroots people, it represents concern and respect, not only warming their stomach but also their hearts.  We hold open air meetings at hot meal distribution points where worship songs, prayers and fellowship feed them spiritually.

The Impact of 3A Hot Meals Ministry

One institution alone cannot turn Hong Kong's apathy into love. We deliver the hot meals to churches so that they can mobilize the believers to distribute them to the poor in the community and start breaking down the walls between churches and the community.

At present, there are 19 churches that cooperate with us to distribute hot meals, and about 1,500 poor people are benefited every week.

Volunteers needed  [Pls register here]

The "3A Hot Meals" serve the street sleepers, scavengers, and elderly people living alone. We need a large number of volunteers.

We support a number of churches to distribute food for free, and the kitchen operating expenses are very large. So, we really need financial support.
